Bishop Ellis, along with his wife Rose and their three children, Angela, Joe, and Tom, founded the Link Church (www.thelinkchurch.org) in Canton, Ohio on July 13, 1980. Today it is a thriving church with congregations in Dover, Alliance, Minerva, and Canton. The church reflects his vision and passion for world evangelism. He serves as the overseer of the church, providing direction and guidance to the pastoral staff as needed.

Bishop Ellis is also the Founder and President of Purpose Institute (www.purposeinstitute.com), which presently has 27 satellite campuses in 6 different nations. Over the past 10 years, he and Rose have ministered in over 25 nations of the world, coaching and training pastors as well as aiding them in developing leaders. Joe is also Section II Presbyter and serves on the Ohio District Board of the United Pentecostal Church International (www.ohioupci.com).

Now serving as the Pastor of CLC of Minerva, Bishop Ellis brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this emerging church. With Minerva sitting in 3 counties (Carroll,  Stark, & Columbiana), he has already begun to cast a vision that reaches far beyond the city limits of Minerva. It's exciting to watch this small congregation, which struggled for so many years, now begin to see new life and growth.
